Case: Provided assistance to the client in obtaining the conclusion of the LCC
Client: Yulia
City: Kyiv
Purpose: drawing up the conclusion of the LCC
Yulia M. turned to the lawyers of the company “Prikhodko and Partners” with a request to provide support during the preparation of the conclusion of the LCC – a document confirming the need for care.
The client, due to a violation of body functions due to an illness, is a person who is in difficult life circumstances and cannot provide household self-care on her own. Therefore, Julia is forced to turn to her son for help, who partially takes care of her.
When the client consulted a family doctor at a medical institution in order to receive a referral to a medical advisory board, she was refused, because according to the doctors, obtaining an opinion of the LKK is possible only in the presence of a group of disabilities, and they did not have the complaints mentioned by her, on their point of view, grounds for providing LCC.
A lawyer practicing medical law analyzed the client’s situation in detail, assessed medical examinations/consulting opinions of doctors, circumstances and other factors that affect the success of obtaining a document confirming the need for care.
The client received a consultation on whether she has grounds for obtaining an LCC, the stages of obtaining a LCC were discussed, her rights were explained, and the nuances and reasons for their occurrence were discussed.
After that, the lawyer of the company “Prikhodko and Partners” provided assistance in collecting and processing documents, ensuring the completeness and reliability of the information provided.
Photos of the results of our work
Under the guidance of a lawyer, the medical examinations were handed over to the Medical Advisory Commission (MAC). After agreeing on the results of the examination and signing the form by all members of the commission, the client visited the examination of the medical and advisory commission.
In turn, after conducting an examination and analysis of the received documents, the LCC made a decision in favor of the client, thereby giving her a conclusion that there is a violation of body functions, due to which terminally ill persons cannot move independently and self-care and need social care services in a non-professional basis
Thus, the lawyer of the medical practice of the company “Prikhodko and Partners” represented the interests of the client at all stages of the procedure of issuing the LKK certificate, which maximized the probability of obtaining a fair decision.
