Persons entitled to the citizenship of Ukraine by the procedure of adoption:

- while in refugee status for more than 3 years,

- being married to a citizen of Ukraine for more than two years and has received a permit for immigration,

- received a permit for immigration and stayed with a citizen of Ukraine for more than two years in a marriage terminated due to his death;

- a person who, in the order established by the legislation of Ukraine, is contracted military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,

- a person who has outstanding service to Ukraine or a person whose adoption of the citizenship of Ukraine is a public interest for Ukraine;

- for the adoption of the citizenship of Ukraine a child living in Ukraine and one of the parents of which or other person who is her legal representative and has a permit for immigration to Ukraine,

- for the adoption of the citizenship of Ukraine, a child living in Ukraine and one of the parents of which or other person who is her legal representative and has a permission to immigrate to Ukraine.

The term of receiving citizenship in the procedure of adoption is one year, according to the decree of the President of Ukraine.
