REASONS FOR RECEPTION

In accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons", citizens of foreign countries are legally entitled to stay in Ukraine on the territory during the validity of the visa or during the period established by national legislation or international agreements.

For a longer term of stay of a foreigner in Ukraine, you must complete the procedure for issuing a temporary residence permit (PNP, residence permit, temporary residence permit).

A temporary residence permit is a document certifying the identity of a foreigner or stateless person and confirms the legal grounds for temporary residence in Ukraine.

The grounds for obtaining a residence permit in Ukraine are foreigners and stateless persons who have arrived in Ukraine:

• for employment;
• to participate in the implementation of international technical assistance projects registered in accordance with the established procedure;
• for the preaching of religious beliefs, the performance of religious rites or other canonical activity at the invitation of religious organizations and with the consent of the state authority that has registered the relevant religious organization;
• to participate in the activities of branches, offices, representative offices and other structural units of public (non-governmental) organizations of foreign countries, registered in the established order;
• for work in representative offices of foreign business entities in Ukraine, registered in accordance with the established procedure;
• for work in branches or representative offices of foreign banks registered in the established order;
• for the conduct of cultural, scientific and educational activities on the grounds and in the manner prescribed by international treaties of Ukraine or special programs, as well as foreigners and stateless persons who have arrived in Ukraine for the purpose of participating in international and regional volunteer programs or participation in the activities of volunteer organizations , registered in Ukraine in the established order;
• to work as a correspondent or representative of foreign media;
• they are founders and / or participants and / or beneficiary owners (controllers) of a legal entity registered in Ukraine and whose share of ownership or a foreign legal entity whose beneficiary (controller) is such a foreigner or stateless person is in the authorized capital a Ukrainian legal entity is not less than 100 thousand euros at the official exchange rate established by the National Bank on the date of making a foreign investment;
• for the purpose of studying;
• for the purpose of reuniting a family with persons who are citizens of Ukraine or who, while staying on legal grounds in the territory of Ukraine, have, in certain specified cases, entered into a marriage with the citizens of Ukraine;
• in order to reunite a family with distinct categories of foreigners and stateless persons staying in Ukraine;
• foreigners and stateless persons have the right to obtain a residence permit in Ukraine who, after the expiration of the maximum period of stay in temporary stay places of foreigners and stateless persons who are illegally in Ukraine (hereinafter - PPLI), applied for obtaining a certificate for temporary residence.

Terms of validity of the temporary residence permit for the relevant categories of foreigners:

• the period of study specified in the document confirming the fact of obtaining education in Ukraine - determines the permissible duration of stay of foreign students,
• the period of validity of the work permit in Ukraine (from 6 months to 3 years) is the permitted period of temporary residence for labor immigrants,
• time required for the implementation of the international technical assistance project - for the participants of the program,
• two years - for founders, participants, beneficiaries of legal entities, registered in Ukraine,
• one year is the term for which a temporary residence permit for foreigners is issued in all other cases provided for by law.
