Changing the cost of designing biometric documents

On April 24, the Government adopted new amounts of the cost of administrative services when issuing a passport of a citizen of Ukraine (ID-card) and passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad, which will be paid after July 1. The cost of the forms of the mentioned documents also changes.

The cost of issuing documents for the first time has increased since 2016 and according to expert estimates such an increase will increase revenues to local budgets in 2019 by about 200 million UAH, which will be directed, in particular, to the implementation of local programs.

According to the changes made, from 1 July 2013 new amounts of the administrative fee will be:

Upon registration of an ID-card (up to 20 business days) – 345 UAH. (UAH 126 Cost of the administrative service and UAH 219 worth of the form), before 279 UAH.

Upon registration of an ID-card (up to 10 business days) – 471 UAH. (252 UAH Cost of administration services and 219 UAH cost of the form), previously 366 UAH.

When registering a passport (up to 20 business days) – 682 UAH. (352 UAH Cost of administrative services and 330 UAH Cost of the form), previously 557.32 UAH.

When registering a passport (up to 7 working days and up to 3 working days if there are grounds *) – 1034 UAH. (UAH 704 Cost of administration services and UAH 330. Cost of the form), before 810.32 UAH.

In accordance with Art. 20 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Uniform State Population Register and documents confirming the citizenship of Ukraine, certifying a person or its special status”, the maximum cost of administrative services depends on the size of the subsistence minimum established for able-bodied persons on January 1 of the calendar year. At the same time funds received as part of the administrative collection are sent to local budgets.
